Some of the best sites I miss in the 40k hobby

We Miss You Ron!

I've been thinking about sites that come and go in the hobby, and some that remain after posting that they won't be contributing anything else, but do us a favor by leaving the site up, especially if the site is chalk full of helpful tips and tricks.

One site that I miss the most is From the Warp.  Even the name of the site tells you - its going to be bad ass.  Ron Saikowski, the main contributor to the site took a leave of absence three years ago in December.  Talked about real life and the hobby infringing on his time for real life, and for awhile there most of us thought that when a tree fell on his house that we were going to loose him for good, and I can understand and all.  I wish Ron the best and I just hope that he keeps up the site, cause its a plethora of information on the hobby, mostly painting.  One of the best articles on the site is the comparison to the old games-workshop washes/shades that were going out of production.  He compares a Army Painter line of washes to the old gw washes, and found an exact match and a definate replacement, the new ones are just complete shit.  I just wish that I could find a great match for Ogryn Flesh wash.

There are a few sites that are gone, but I'm sure to link them if they're still around at some point in time when I'm bored and need a break from painting.
